As a psychotherapist, my goal is to assist my patients in identifying and and changing problematic behavior, and developing their personal strengths.  Together, we work collaboratively and interactively to bolster your coping skills and find new, creative ways to address issues that have been the source of struggle and/or preventing you from achieving interpersonal or relationship goals.

My specialties, derived from almost 15 years of training and experience, include helping patients navigate depression, anxiety, relationship/marital difficulties, LGBT issues, challenges living with illnesses such as HIV/AIDS or other chronic medical issues, Internet addiction, men's sexuality, and sexually compulsive behavior.

Teaching and supervision have also been important aspects of my work.  I have taught courses on abnormal psychology, human sexuality, and criminal justice.
